Coming home
to yourself

Therapy can offer a space to slow down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and begin to meet yourself with more compassion, clarity and choice.

I'm Samantha

Sometimes we come to therapy because something in us is asking to be heard: a feeling, a pattern, a younger part, a body sensation, a repeated relationship dynamic, or a way of coping that once helped us survive but now feels limiting.

Compassion Space is somewhere you can bring the tender, messy and vulnerable parts of yourself without judgement; somewhere to feel less alone with what you carry.

About me

MBACP Therapist

I am an accredited counsellor registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I hold a Clinical Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapeutic Counselling from Metanoia Institute.

"Trauma is not what happened to us, but what we hold inside us in the absence of an empathetic witness."
— Peter Levine

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • You wake early with your mind racing - replaying conversations, criticising yourself.
  • You look capable outside, but feel anxious, ashamed or exhausted inside.
  • You say yes when you mean no, and feel guilty setting boundaries.
  • You long for closeness, but fear being judged, rejected or too much.
  • One part of you wants connection; another wants to hide.
  • You feel disconnected from your body - braced, tense, or unable to let go.

"When trauma gets triggered you don't act your age,
you act the age the wound was created."
— Dr. Gabor Maté

Together, we might explore

Writing in a journal beside a candle
  • Understanding old survival patterns with compassion, not judgement
  • Working gently with trauma, shame, anxiety and overwhelm
  • Relationship patterns, attachment wounds, intimacy and boundaries
  • Reconnecting with your body at a pace that feels safe
  • Finding your voice, self-trust and sense of meaning
